You are here: Home Agistment at Kelloshiel > Agistment Contract Conditions Agistment Contract Conditions When Agisting your horse at Kellosheil Park you will be asked to sign a contract service agreement which will define and clarify both your rights and obligations and our own. In simple language the agreement will include the following; Type of Service: The type of service you wish to contract and weekly rates applying as referred to on the schedule attached. Access to Kellosheil Park: Your access arrangements including your responsibility for the key provided, the facilities you are eligible to make free use of and your responsibility to maintain our safety standards and of care toward any visitors you bring with you. You will be required to sign the logbook any time you use your own key to gain entry. Your Horses Health: Our agreement is to provide adequate and safe facilities according to the type of service. As a matter of course all animals will be checked for obvious injury and illness at least once per week. Fences and facilities will be checked regularly as well. At any time, in the event that we observe any sort of health problem we will immediately attempt to contact you at the phone numbers you provide. If we are unable to contact you for any reason, we reserve the right to call our Veterinary Surgeon to attend to the horse at our sole discretion and at your expense. Pasture Health: We intend to maintain the viability, health and integrity of our pastures as a priority and will be working to improve them at all times. For this reason we will nominate the number of horses, which are permitted in any private paddock and, from time to time, will move your stock to alternative accommodation to rest the individual paddocks. Water Usage: We expect that each person practices water conservation and alerts us immediately to any faulty equipment, leakages or trough overflow you observe. We do not recommend you drink any water apart from that provided in the rainwater barrels attached to shelters and buildings. Safety Awareness Document: You will be briefed upon contract signature as to the standard of safety requirements we recommend for all horse handling and riding carried out at Kellosheil Park. You will be responsible to pass this information on to any visitors you bring with you. A copy of this briefing, signed by yourself will be held on file and it is your responsibility to notify us of any visitor intending to ride and such visitors must sign this safety awareness document also. Accidents and Injury: We are attempting to minimize any hazards on Kellosheil Park and will appreciate any of your input as to how we may further reduce the risk of accident or injury. We are not however, assessing your competency in handling and riding your horse. If we notice any behaviors, which in our opinion, present a risk to the handler or other persons we reserve the right to insist upon changes or to terminate your contract unilaterally. Horse riding, even in the best of circumstances however, does present some risks to the rider, the horse and others and we cannot take responsibility for your accidents or injury. Accident and first aid facilities are located at strategic locations about the property and these are shown on your copy of the safety awareness document. We require that you advise us of any incidents so we log them in an incident register and make good any first aid supplies used. Payment: A condition of your service agreement is that you lodge your credit card details with us and that we be authorized to charge this card bi-weekly in advance, for services provided.
