Skin problems in dogs, cats and most other animals are most effectively treated by dealing with the internal conditions which predispose a particular animal in the first place.
Blood impurities and over-sensitivity in the nervous system along with some sort of metabolic stress, will set up conditions where the skin becomes locally unhealthy, sensitive and irritated. This area then becomes a focus of scratching behaviour and is also particularly attractive to insects. Often the itch is initiated by insect bites or mites and perpetuated by fungal infestation which then flourishes in an area of damaged skin.
This mix is essentially a blood cleanser and a support to over-sensitivty. It is best used in conjunction with the Skin Irritant or Skin Healing cream below, which will protect and heal the damaged skin, once the internal conditions are addressed.

Skin Healing Cream

This cream is specific for repair and healing of irritated, damaged or scarred skin after the cause factors have been resolved with internal reatments. It contains Comfrey and Maritime Pine along with other herbs used traditionally to repair and soften damaged skin and repair scarring.
Even a long while after an injury the Skin Healing Cream will promote a return to normal healthy, elastic skin tissue. Over time it will also assist in the reduction of scar tissue.

Skin Irritant Cream

This cream is similar to the Skin Healing Cream above but contains slightly different ingredients better suited to resolve current sensitivity, itching and irritation as well as promote healing of recent damage.
These ingredients will reduce inflammation in the nerve endings feeding the skin cells themselves whilst also discouraging secondary fungal infestation, often involved in perpetuating skin problems.
This treatment is most effectively used in conjunction with one of the internal treatments such as Skin Problems/ Blood Cleanser or Skin Allergy - Irritation acute.
