Robert McDowell's Herbal Treatments November 29 2002 B.J's Distressing Skin Allergy The following dialogue is an email from Brian and Jenny Hannan. November 18th, 2002
B.J, also known as Triseter Ebonie Tornado with emphasis on the last word, is a Gordon Setter born January 6th 2001.As a tiny pup B.J developed a rash that, at the time, did respond to a broad-spectrum antibiotic. By 9 months of age, he developed a rash along with pimples, which of course caused him (and us) real concern, even more so as the weather began to get warmer. After more antibiotic treatment, that did not succeed this time, and cortisone, which would work only when taken on a regular basis - something that we did not wish to use long term- the diagnosis was mange. Emerald Park, where we take B.J for his regular exercise, is also home to a myriad of animals including; foxes and wombats, that are known to carry mange. Finally, a blood test was conducted and it was found that B.J was actually allergic to all grasses. We had spent $800.00 at this point and hundreds more to develop a "specific serum" to hopefully combat the problem. Living in the Dandenong Mountains of Victoria and having lawns that a mowed regularly as well, posed a real problem for B.J. We were referred to you by a Rhodesian Ridgeback owner who reported spectacular results from a treatment that you had prescribed for one of her dogs. A period of 1 month elapsed, with B.J on the 2 herbal treatments; Canine Conditioning Mix and Skin Allergy Mix, and we have used about on third of each bottle and I think the results speak for themselves; The scale and dry skin have all but vanished, most of the lumps on his back and tummy are gone and his pre-occupation with "nibbling" his skin has reduced. B.J's appetite has increased; he is fully alive and sleeping more soundly. We have allowed B.J to roll in grass and prop on our lawn after mowing, which seems to stimulate a tiny amount of irritation, but it is nothing like it was before. Statistically, the improvement has to be 99.99%, which is certainly due to the herbal remedies. We are very pleased and impressed. All the best Brian and Jenny Hannan We hope you found this informative. For any further information or help email info@herbal-treatments.com.
