Robert McDowell's Herbal Treatments 03 March 2004 Herbal Health for Humans and their CompanionsWhat state is your heart in???Loving, open, a heart of gold or black, warm or cold. Our heart represents love and our blood joy. Try to imagine your heart lovingly pumping joy around your body! If we deny our lives love and joy our heart shrivels and becomes cold, the blood slows down and we edge closer to angina and heart attacks. As Louise Hay puts it in one of her books "we spend years squeezing all the joy out of the heart, and it literally falls over in pain". So, a big reminder is to notice the little joys that surround us - they are there every day just open your eyes to them. This week we feature:-
Angina Angina Pectoris affects the muscles around the chest zone(pectoral muscles), it can happen for people that work their heart to hard the inadequate supply of blood to the myocardium causes spasms in the coronary arteries. It is a warning sign for people who overdo it, or older people who don't listen to their body saying "enough". When this comes on suddenly the best body posture to take to relieve the condition is to lie flat on your back, legs slightly apart, arms away from your sides with palms up, this position puts the least strain on your heart. The grabbing sensation around the heart should cease. I have a very reliable herbal treatment for angina and it actually includes both Hawthorn and a specific Cactus (Grandiflora) Between the two herbs both the heart muscle and the electrical signals to the heart are supported and for this reason it is a much better treatment than Hawthorn on its own. My actual formulation contains other ingredients as well and I can make up a treatment also to assist in plaque removal working through the blood and the liver particularly. If you have a complex medical history and other health problems you would be best submitting to an online consultation process which can be found on the website through the link following my signature. With fuller information and perhaps a hair sample I can make up more specific mixes. The heart mix however is standard and can be found on the link; http://www.herbal-treatment.net/herbs_heart_repair.html If you suffer from angina pectoris it is advisable that you always carry the mix with you. Home Remedies - The Beautiful Lemon. The lemon has many important uses and one should never be without a couple in the fruit basket. For acne firstly massage honey in to the face and gently steam it over a bowl of warm water, gently wash off and rub with a cut lemon . Blood viscosity can be kept balanced by regularly drinking lemon water. A jug of water with half a lemon cut into it. To make it even more valuable try adding some cool rosehip tea , this will add masses of Vitamin C and iron and give your kidneys a treat as well. As a hand cleanser it excels, just rub the hand with the skin of a lemon (squeeze the juice out first). As a special hand moisturizer, massage the hands for about 10 minutes as you watch television with a mix of Olive Oil and salt, this simple effective mix exfoliates and softens the hand so that they feels like silk -your hands would never have felt sooooo soft and smooth. Canine Heart Worm I have been using and recommending the herbal treatment for heartworm's now for over 10 years and found it to be effective. http://www.herbal-dogkeeping.com/dog_heartworm_treatment.html It is not a herbal poison which will kill worms but it does discourage their breeding and assists in the dog's own defenses. The dogs system (in the case of very minor infections) reabsorbs the adults. If the dog is already infected with a major infestation ,you should seek the advice of your Vet, however, the treatment we prescribe supports the animals natural system to deal with the worms using its own defenses. Talk to your vet as well about the lifespan of the adult worm. Large infestations, which die rapidly via poisons, cause the problem, as the dogs system has been unable to keep the population down via its own defenses. We have had no side effects reported to us, and we don't expect to see any side effects in the doses that we recommend. The mix lasts as a preventative as long as the dog is taking it. I usually recommend to start the treatment 1 month before the really hot weather settles in and continue 1 month past. Equine Ringbone Ringbone is just one of the conditions in horses, which really result from poor circulation down through horses legs and the resultant difficulty in healing conditions which can really be relatively minor when they first occur. All horses are prone to such problems because their design as a flight animal was to minimise the weight and bulk of their limbs, rather like alloy rims and low profile tyres on a sports car. Because the structures within their lower limbs are not continuously bathed in blood, as our ankles are for example, a relatively minor impact, jarring or torsion injury can result in bone bruising and inflammation which can be extremely slow to heal and even result in further degenerative and scarring processes which simply would not occur if there were more blood supply available for healing. Ringbone is a process where a ring of bone tissue scarring develops following such injuries. Robert N. Oglesby DVM concludes in an article on the subject of Ringbone that; "...most ringbones I have seen are painful and untreatable in the long run. Early, you can keep them usable with bute and injections of cortisone but the more you use them the worse it gets" I beg to differ with this view. Just because modern Veterinary Medicine and its supporting pharmaceutical industry cannot see how to deal with Ringbone does not mean that it is untreatable and it will inevitably get worse and worse over time. My recommendations for treatment are as follows:
http://www.herbal-horsekeeping.com/horse_tendon_bone_healing.html which provides the correct herbal nutrients and impetus to healing. 2. For any pain, can I please suggest that you stay away from Bute (Phenylbutazone) as you will only end up with more problems, namely stomach ulcers. I have an all natural no side effect Anti Inflammatory healer: http://www.herbal-horsekeeping.com/horse_anti_inflammatory_healer.html 3. My hoof oil, which can be used also as a massage oil and drives the healing herbs right into the effected region: http://www.herbal-horsekeeping.com/horse_hoof_oil.html http://www.herbal-treatments.com.au/herbal_horsekeeping.asp You will need to obtain 4 Kg of Ground White Millet and 4 Kg of Ground Linseed (if the linseed/flaxseed is whole it will need to be boiled down, so crushed is easier) you can get this from a local health food store. Plus some Kelp powder( 2 teaspoons a day into feed ). I would send the other herbal ingredients in extract form to be added to your formula. I also have a great article regarding tendon and bone damage that you should have a read of: http://herbal-treatments.com.au/articles_bone_and_ligament.html FeedBack We value your feedback so much that we are making it easier for you to send us a sentence or two. Please fill in the form below and click 'Send' I wish you and all your animals good health. You'll find much of that needed joy in caring for them. Yours Truly, Robert McDowell |
