Herbal Help for Humans and their Companions

Buddha

Happiness comes when your work and words are of benefit to yourself and others.

This week we feature:-

Canine - A New Puppy

The best insurance you can take for this new pup is to rear him on raw food right from the start. Raw chicken wings and carcases are an ideal combination of flesh to fat to bones for a young pup. Start him on this and nothing else. No cooked food, no commercial food, no treats. The ideal treat for a dog is a very large raw bone to play with and he will exercise his forequarters and teeth with this.

If you wish to provide further cover against future illness you can provide Bone Maturity herbs in small doses along with small doses of Maritime Pine Antioxidant also from day one. I am talking 2 drops of each once daily to start building up to 5 drops by the end of his first year. A 100ml bottle of each will last 6 months at that rate.

Otherwise treat for shock with Rescue Remedy after any trauma including vaccinations. Don't use drugs to treat simple illnesses like respiratory infection: See: http://www.herbal-dogkeeping.com/dog_kennel_cough.html

Don't give supplements no matter how strongly they are recommended by your Vet or others keep coming back to paragraph 1 above.

Equine - Stallion Vitality

The Stallion Blend described on my website at;
http://www.herbal-horsekeeping.com/horse_stallion_breeding.html
is very effective and I have a lot of stud owners here in Australia using it routinely with their stock.

My formulation recognises that there are many factors involved in low semen counts. The physical and immune system vitality and the nervous system vitality are equally as important as the hormonal vitality. My program addresses all these areas.

Human - Rocacea

Antibiotics can control Rosacea and they do so by dealing with any secondary infections which arise because of the condition rather than controlling the condition itself.

When I treat it I use herbs to reduce skin and circulatory sensitivity while at the same time strengthening the blood vessel walls.

Fenugreek is a good lymphatic tonic and cleanser

. I would make an individual internal mix and prescribing also an external spray (made from wheatgrass) which together should turn early Rosacea around.

The Skin Recovery Spray has significant healing properties beyond wound healing and I would certainly consider a program which alternated this spray say in the morning with my Skin Magic Cream in the evening.

Home Remedies - The Health Benefits Of Evening Primrose

Evening Primrose The remarkably rich stores of GLA in evening primrose oil are what make it so valuable in healing. Taken internally, the body converts GLA into prostaglandins. These hormone like compounds help regulate various body functions, controlling inflammation in some cases and promoting it in others. The prostaglandins produced from GLA fall into the anti-inflammatory category. Cell membranes also rely on the presence of GLA.

Specifically, evening primrose oil may help to:
  • Relieve the discomforts of PMS (premenstrual syndrome), menstruation, endometriosis and fibrocystic breasts. .
  • Ease the joint pain and swelling of rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Prevent diabetes-associated nerve damage.
  • Reduce the symptoms of eczema.
  • Help treat acne and rosacea. .
  • Alleviate inflammation associated with lupus.
  • Combat damage from multiple sclerosis.
  • Treat Alzheimer's-related memory deficiencies.
  • Counter impotence and female infertility.
  • Alleviate Raynaud's disease symptoms.
  • Nourish nails, scalp, and hair.
  • Prevent alcohol withdrawal symptoms.

Reader Feed Back

I guess that as I'm not an animal/pet owner, I would rather the newsletter was split and that I only received the human part of it. Seems strange to me reading about cats and dogs in the middle of human remedies....?
Kind regards,
Anne

Dear Anne,
Your question is quite valid and in fact once upon a time that is how the newsletter was. However due to the fact that many people do have multiple interests we were able to put together a more comprehensive newsletter when addressing both animals and humans. We hope you can bear with us on this one.

We value your feedback so much that we are making it easier for you to send us a sentence or two.
