Herbal Help for Humans and their Companions

"The real trick to life is not to be in the know but in the mystery"

- Fred Alan Wolf PhD

This week we feature:-

Canine - Collie Nose Update

The skin lesions in DLE or Collie Nose arise when the animal's immune system targets the skin. The immune system normally clears infections and any substances that are "foreign" to the body, while ignoring, or tolerating, substances that are normally found there. In DLE, we believe that the immune system considers some of the normal components of the skin as foreign. It uses the mechanisms normally launched at foreign invaders to try to "clear" these skin components. The resulting inflammation and skin damage lead to the visible changes seen on the surface.

I recommend you start immediately with the Maritime Pine Extract my primary immune system tonic see link:

Topically apply the Collie Nose Ointment:

And the Conditioning Mix to bring back balance in the body's metabolism:

Also add 1 tablespoon of Crushed white millet & linseed made into a porridge to Zooms diet 1x daily as well as Dandelion tea granules 2 teaspoons 1 x a day.

Since DLE is exacerbated by sun exposure keep your dog indoors during peak sunlight hours & apply a sunscreen which doesn't contain Zinc oxide topically at other times.

Equine - Open Wound

Syringe the open wound with Colloidal Silver twice daily especially if messy.
